American Muscle Cars

The models of American cars manufactured between 1960 and 1970 are called muscle cars. These vehicles are called "super car" during that period. The term "muscle car", was released from the horse race. The loans were granted to John Z. DeLorean, who was president of the Pontiac. Violated the policy of General Motors small cars to large motors. This gave birth to 1964 Pontiac Tempest GTO which started the explosion of muscle cars. The popularity of the DeLorean project inspired General Motors and its competitors to produce their muscle car brands. V8 muscle V8 engine was developed by General Motors. E 'was the first to use a valve head for high compression. It brought together eight cylinders in two sections of a single crankshaft. The use of crankshaft only has the fastest car of the muscle velocity and acceleration. II. Chrysler Hemi engine has developed this engine in 1950. Hemi came from the shape of the hemispherical combustion chambers. The design of the upper rooms of the valve allows the engine to be positioned in a corner. The valve position provides an optimum flow of fuel into the engine. Popular American Muscle Car Models 1965 Pontiac GTO This is the first model that started the American muscle car mania. It goes from 0-60 mph in 6.6 seconds. It has a V8 engine with 389-Cid. This car weighs no less than 3470 pounds. The total number of units sold was 32,450. 1965 Buick Skylark Gran Sport This model is the first to use 401-CID V8 engine and is convertible to the reinforced structure in place. Performance is 0-60 mph in 7.8 seconds and a weight of 3200 pounds. The total number of units sold was 69,367. 1967 Pontiac GTO This is considered one of the most amazing muscle cars of all time. Some features include 400-Cid V8 engine, four-carburetor bell mounted Tach and optional front disc brakes and power. It goes from 0-60 mph in 6.6 seconds and a weight of 3,425 pounds. The total number of units sold was 81,722. 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 This is one of the most unique models of Mustang. This car was built to satisfy the rules of NASCAR. It has 429-V8 engine and goes from 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds. Features include tires hoarse, suspension settings, and the front track width. It weighs 3870 pounds. The total number of units sold was 858. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 model has a more desirable muscle car era. The unique feature of this car is its cap-induction hood. Has a 302-CID V8 engine. It goes from 0-60 mph in 7.4 seconds and a weight of 3765 pounds. The total number of units sold was 20,302. 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird This is one of the most extravagant of muscle cars ever produced. 440 engine has a V8 engine with four carburetor only. Some features of this model are the large rear wing and nose-the wind tunnel so. It goes from 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds and a weight of 3841 pounds. The total number of units sold was 1920. 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Hemi features interior of this car is sporty four-speed manual transmission and 426-CID V8 engine. It goes from 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds and a weight of 3900 pounds. The total number of units sold was 666. 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 features of this car are 454 Cid V8 engine, the F41 suspension, compared with power disc brakes, five-spoke, wheels, blackout grille, hood and induction of the CAP.
