Davison Deprived Of Certain Podium
Australian driver James Davison was deprived of a certain podium when he was hit in Round 6 of the Star Mazda Championship, presented by Goodyear on Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland. The impact was on the back of Canadian driver Lorenzo Mandarino. Placing 3rd on the grid, Davison was strongly position to fight for the lead on lap 22 of 28, when the race started after the safety car was withdrawn because of total course yellow. I could not express anger was the other driver's error cost him a podium certainly agree with the scoring of points, the damage caused by accidents, unnecessary costs and frustration of the course. He said the pilots were informed during the briefing on the dangers of curve 1 in Cleveland, especially when the field is the node at the start or restart. But he added that once the pressure has been applied, some drivers forget the fundamentals of racing and the attempts of a movement impossible with the brakes that cause frustration and damage to other drivers. He also said that viewers can not understand the anger of his team if they felt that this also happened in Portland and costs in the championship is very important. He continued that he did not envy Jonathan Goring or Dane Cameron standing on the podium. What bothered him that he was one of the fastest drivers in the series and was stripped of what we have worked hard to achieve. It just made the same optimism, saying that the disappointment this weekend, should become a challenge to reach the podium in Toronto.
